We’re proud to announce that Ingenuity Partners officially launched the MortarCAPS Higher Learning Data Standard (MCDS) at the Navitas Business Partner Conference 2024 in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The launch was led by our Founder, Kyle Dunsire, and MortarCAPS CEO, Charlsey Pearce, who presented this sector-shaping initiative to an audience of education leaders, technology partners, and institutional decision-makers across APAC.
Co-creating the Future of Higher Education Data
Developed in close collaboration with CAUDIT and a working group of Australian universities, the MortarCAPS data standard sets out to define a unified data model for the higher education and vocational sector.
The MortarCAPS Higher Learning Data Standard (MCDS), is designed to:
Address the long-standing fragmentation of student and institutional data
Provide a shared architecture framework across systems and vendors
Enable more scalable, efficient digital transformations across institutions
Support national initiatives like the National Skills Passport and future credentialing models
A Defining Moment at Navitas
The Navitas Business Partner Conference 2024 was a pivotal moment in the momentum behind MCDS.
As one of the sector’s most influential gatherings, the event brought together leaders focused on strategy, delivery, and innovation in education technology.
The launch session focused on the vision behind the standard, its expected impact on institutional architecture, and how vendors and universities alike can begin preparing for alignment now.
