What makes Ingenuity special has never just been the work we do. It’s the people behind it.

Last week, the team headed to Byron Bay for our annual offsite: time to reconnect, reflect on the year, and celebrate the people who make Ingenuity what it is.

Who is Ingenuity Partners

Ingenuity Partners is a Sydney-based technology consultancy working across strategy, architecture and delivery for complex organisations in higher education, financial services, public sector and aged care.

Our work is technical, but the way we work is deeply human. That was the real focus of this year’s offsite.

A week to reconnect, reflect and look ahead

The week was packed with conversations about growth, delivery, innovation, and the kind of company we want to keep building together.

Kyle Dunsire opened up the conversation around where Ingenuity is heading next, and Daniel Jurczyszyn led a Strategy on a Page session that helped the team turn that thinking into something practical: where we are, where we’re going, and how we get there together.

Tamara’s Culture Kitchen helped us define what makes our team genuinely different. We explored AI more thoughtfully with Timothy Moore’s ‘Break the Agent’ session, which was equal parts clever, chaotic, and mildly concerning in the best way.

Of course, there was a taco hat for the taco Tuesday king Chris Jack, a coordinated Ryan Gosling mask ambush for Tamara, handmade pasta, and our annual Clash of the Clans competition, where we took paddle pop stick catapult engineering very seriously.

Celebrating the people who make the work possible

Most importantly, we celebrated our people.

Congratulations to this year’s Ingenuity Award winners:

The Multiplier Award: Jay Wang,

Calm in the Chaos: Chris Choi,

Glue of the Team: Lauren Wilson,

Spark Award: Timothy Moore,

Momentum Maker: Tamara,

Slack MVP: Chris Jack,

Curiosity Catalyst: Jennifer Yiu Thai,

Ingenuity All Star: Jerry Poon

And a special shoutout to Jerry, our CEO of the Night, who made sure every award winner had their moment. And another shoutout to our true CEO, Hayley Crimmins, for bringing this incredible offsite and team together.

Why culture matters to client work

For us, culture is not separate from delivery.

The same traits that showed up across the offsite, curiosity, honesty, care, humour and a willingness to challenge ideas, are the same traits our clients experience when we’re deep in strategy, architecture or delivery work.

Complex technology problems are easier to solve when the team in the room trusts each other, enjoys the work, and is willing to ask better questions.

The intelligence. The curiosity. The willingness to challenge ideas. The care we show each other. The ability to laugh together while solving genuinely hard problems. That’s Ingenuity.

A little ingenuity goes a long way. Especially when it’s backed by people like this.
